    Founded in 2006, the Art & Global Health Center at UCLA seeks to nurture a global network of artists, advocates and experts working in the realm of public health.

WACD Majors Nicholas Pauley and Madison Olandt choreographed a large scale production in Spring Sing 2015. Bringing together over 40 World Arts and Cultures / Dance Majors, they all represented the department in an exhilarating story that brought the audience through a multitude of emotions. While the piece touched upon the ideas of lust, greed, fear, and loyalty, the finale (as pictured below) ended the performance with a heartwarming last impression. See a clip here.

In the News

 vicmarksVictoria Marks, professor of choreography in the Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance and chair of the Disability Studies minor has accepted the position of associate dean, academic affairs for the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture, effective July 1, 2017. Marks will be taking over for Professor Diane Favro, who has served in this role for the past two years and is retiring after 33 years of service to UCLA.
