In the same program, WACD faculty Cheng-Chieh Yu is also presenting a 25 min quartet “ Displacement II” with 4 fabulous female dance artists from Taiwan.    Hsiao-Mei and the cohort will also guest teach in several WACD courses during the residency. Hsiao-Mei Ho is the artistic director of MeimageDance, She was formerly the Director of Taipei Crossover Dance Company, Rehearsal Director for Cloud Gate 2 and has guest choreographed Mirage and Paper Sky for the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. This year she presented Camouflage a repeat invitation from the National Theater and Concert Hall (NTCH), and toured this work to the Beijing Dance Festival. In 2013, she was invited by NTCH to present her work, My Dear, which was one of five works nominated for the 12th Annual Taishin Arts Award. Woo! Barbie (2010) and Beyond the Pale (2011), were nominated for the 9th and 10th Annual Taishin Arts Award, respectively. She was invited by OISTAT to present her work Middle in Seoul, Korea in 2009 and to host a workshop in Prague, Czech Republic in 2011. In 2006, her choreography My Freud was presented at the Hong Kong Dance Festival, and in 2001, The Covered Picture was showcased at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. Hsiao-Mei was invited to be a guest choreographer by the American Dance Festival in 1995. She is an Associate Professor at the Taipei National University of the Arts.
