Margaret Ogas is a dance artist working at the confluence of movement, storytelling, and experimental performance who spent the past decade living and dancing in Mni Sóta Makoce (Minneapolis, Minnesota).
Margaret was a 2023-2025 Jerome Hill Artist Fellow and a 2021 Naked Stages Fellow at Pillsbury House + Theatre. Her choreography has been presented throughout the Twin Cities and her projects have received support from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, and Jerome Foundation. As a freelance performer, she has worked with Taja Will, Pramila Vasudevan, Morgan Thorson, Laurie Van Wieren and others.
The theoretical foundations of Margaret’s work draw from Chicanx studies, queer theory, and diasporic futurisms. Her current research investigates the linkage between Chicano visual culture and contemporary performance. Learn more at margaretogas.com
