This is a high-energy rhythmic tap class focusing on articulating sound and movement in the feet and the body. This class will explore sliding, hoofing, turning, jumping, improvisation games, and jams, using a call-and-response method to gain a wide range of the culture and genre of tap dancing. Expect to sweat, but mostly have fun! (Don't forget your Tap shoes!)
Kyreeana holds a BFA in Dance and Choreography and a Minor in Digital Arts from California Institute of the Arts. Her choreographic works have been showcased nationally and internationally. She has served as adjunct professor at Citrus College in Dance Production. She has toured with B. Dunn Movement and through Dance Film of "Double Up" with Francesca N. Penzani and Nedra Wheeler, which toured and was awarded internationally. She is a co-collaborator with interdisciplinary arts company The Paint Brush Game with her brother Vinci Lewis. Additionally, Kyreeana is on dance faculty at California School of the Arts-SGV and has also served as adjunct dance staff at Chadwick School. She is a YoungArts Alumni (Miami & Los Angeles) and is currently working in music production and songwriting for dance artists.
