Inspired by the Wonder Woman comic books and movies, this short film presents an alternative reality of Haiti and is also a poetic celebration of women heroes/warriors, in this case, Haitian Amazons. Running time: 13 minutes.
Light Haitian hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.
Screening will take place indoors. Seating is limited!
Filmmaker Wilna Julmiste Taylor is an actor, writer, producer, and arts administrator. Her interests and work include investigating the intersections of art and culture, social justice, and highlighting her Haitian heritage. She is currently the Associate Director at the UCLA Art & Global Health Center and Lecturer in the World Arts and Cultures/Dance Department at UCLA.
